Glitter

Martha Stewart knows glitter. This year we made these stars out of mat board (from the December 2011 Martha Stewart Living). 

The notches on the template for the extra-large star were much too wide, so cut accordingly. 

(We have to squeeze craft-time in where we can... sometimes it happens to be between pajamas and getting dressed.)

I spray painted them silver before we mod-podged and glittered. 

Martha's glitter is so fantastic.

The big silver one is going to be a tree topper as soon as I get some wire on it.

Last year we baked salt dough ornaments and decorated them with my mom and sisters. Fragile, but very special! I used the recipe for the Noah's Ark cookie cutter ornaments from the December 2010 issue. 

You have to put the tiny screw eyes in before you bake them.
